Sarnia Police search around tunnel for clues in man’s death
A ground search is underway to try to something to help figure out the identity of a man found near the Canada/US Tunnel.
The body of a white man between the ages of 25 and 30 was found on the CN Rail property yesterday afternoon around 2pm. So far, they haven’t been able to figure out who he is or what lead to his death.
Officers from the Sarnia Police Emergency Response Team are conducting a ground search in the are of the tunnel, hoping to find any physical evidence which might give them clues to the man’s identity.
Police are asking anyone who might know who it is to contact them. The man is about 6 feet tall of medium build with blonde hair and blue eyes. Police say the man was wearing a black mesh football shirt with the number ’03’ in grey, black jogging pants with a red pin stripe and one white sock and one black sock with red toes. Anyone with information about the man can call the Sarnia Police’s Criminal Investigation branch.
Police hope to figure out how the man died with an autopsy which will be completed tomorrow in London.
