Some flooding possible the next few days
Officials are keeping a close eye on local rivers, streams and creeks.
Snow melt and recent rain in the Sydenham River watershed has lead to some localized flooding. Both Fairweather Line near Petrolia and Pretty Road in St. Clair Township were closed because of flooding.
Officials with the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority say water levels will remain high for a few days and drains and smaller watercourses might be flooded. Officials are warning people to be careful near the slippery banks and fast moving waters.
The snow melt and rain on Tuesday is also providing some spectacular sights, including a faster than usual waterfall over Rock Glen Falls in Arkona.
