Incoherent cyclist faces weapons charges
Sarnia Police seized a cache of weapons including a meat cleaver from an incoherent man on a bicycle this weekend.
On Saturday morning, police were called to south Indian Road after someone saw a man on a bike with a knife. Police found an incoherent man with a large piece of wood attached to his bike and a knife sticking out of the end. They could also see a silver handle protruding from a bag he was carrying.
Police arrested the cyclist and searched his bag finding nine weapons in all. There were four other knives, a straight razor and a sock with a stainless steel ball at the end of it, commonly known according to police as a blackjack. That’s a prohibited weapon.
A 46 year old man faces six charges including carrying a concealed weapon and having weapons dangerous to the public in the incident.
