Heavy rainfall expected until Thursday
Expect a lot more rain in the next 24 hours.
Environment Canada has issued a heavy rainfall warning until Thursday.
A series of low pressure systems will continue to give several rounds of rain with occasional lulls in the precipitation. The rain is expected to be heavy at times along with isolated thunderstorms. Some locations within the rainfall warning have already seen in excess of 30 or 40 mm of rain. Up to 80 mm is expected by Friday.
The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority is also keeping an eye on the water levels. Officials say there will be some localized flooding in fields and parks near the Sydenham River’s tributaries, but lower than usual water levels in the Sydenham will provide increased storage for the runoff.
